I designed this pendant for myself, inspired by the old celtic and greek designs for wild boars. I feel strongly connected to boar, and I've been meaning to do this for awhile. And to try out my new 3/32" dremel bit. :)

Carved tagua, approx 1.5" tall.

Awesome! I love the mohawk mane. I too have a special affinity towards boars - but really only since I saw Hayao Miyazaki's "Princess Monoke" in 1999. Okkoto's thundering, noble presence overwhelmed the theater, and for the first time I realized that...man, boars are COOL. In my mind I'd never before separated fat gross domesticated pigs from their wild hairy hard-core cousins.

Thank you! I really like what Miyazaki did with the boars in Mononoke - the stylization was really neat and interesting. I really don't like domestic pigs, either, but boars really are a world away. :)

Oh I totally want to get one of these. I have your other version where it is the white part of the tagua. Are these the same price as the other? If not how much are these and if you are taking commissions I totally want to get one of these from you if you are open :).

The carved/invers pendants are a little more than the burned (dark on light) pendants since they take quite a bit longer for me to make (I carve them by hand and it's a lot slower than burning!). I have a list of designs available here: http://foxloft.com/store/tagua/pendant/Raven
